PETRA ROCKED THE HOUSE!

I don't think there could have been a better concert! Petra was phenomenal - as were their fans! It's amazing to me how impactful this band has been on so many people. It was awesome sitting at the door and hearing people's stories of how Petra helped them in their Christian walk. Many talked about how the words of the songs taught them so much as they walked from infancy to maturity in Christ. Others talked about how the Spirit of the songs just touched their hearts and minds as they struggled with adolescence or young adulthood. Petra truly was - and is - so much more than just a band. They somehow usher in the Spirit as they share their music and ministry. We were truly blessed at the concert and look forward to seeing what more they might have in store in the future!

TWO MORE DAYS TILL CLASSIC PETRA!

We are so excited about the upcoming CLASSIC PETRA concert at New Hope Assembly of God THIS TUESDAY (October 23rd) night! We'll have a sell out crowd for what is sure to be one of their last appearances of this two-year reunion tour! I hope you have your tickets, 'cause if you don't you may miss it! We're on the home stretch and have less than 30 tickets left!

We're excited to have On This Rock opening for PETRA and Live From the Path livestreaming throughout the evening. PETRA is even going to come out and do a live, on-air interview before the concert! Their ministry has touched so many lives over the years. It's been fantastic meeting their diehard fans as they secure their tickets to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

I can't tell you how excited I am about the upcoming CLASSIC PETRA concert! They were the first Christian band I ever saw and the one by which all other concerts were measured. It's so exciting to actually be working with them!

As a ministry, Spirit Midwest strives to work with artists that are ministry first. There have actually been some bands we just didn't want to work with because the business of their music was in the forefront, rather than the ministry. This has certainly NOT been the case with CLASSIC PETRA! We are so impressed with the fact that they have been in the industry for almost 40 years and yet, they're just guys. They're not superstars. They're not elite. They're not better than everyone else. They're just guys. That takes a lot of humility and grace. We so appreciate that about them. We also appreciate their music, their artistry, their passion for God and for sharing him across all generations.

This concert is sure to be a new measuring stick for some of our young people. They think they've seen great bands in the past - they may have to think again after they see CLASSIC PETRA! Not only is the music great, but the message - whether it's sung, spoken or simply exemplified in their actions - is what rings true and grabs our hearts.
